Gothenburg

Founded in 1621, the City of Gothenburg has a long tradition of national and international commerce, trade, shipping and industry. It is located on Sweden's west coast, right in the heart of Scandinavia. As such it is a true gateway between the capital cities of Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

Gothenburg is the second largest city in Sweden, following Stockholm, and with its universities it is a centre of academic research and education. The city is well-known for hosting a wide range of multinational meetings as well as conferences and is also referred to as "The Event City".

Its pleasant atmosphere, top facilities and spectacular natural surroundings make Gothenburg one of the top, leading event cities in Europe. Gothenburg is a beautiful coastal city, is bursting with cultural diversity and is the perfect location to host the 39th Annual Conference of ISPAD.
