PETCA/PETCWA Tutoring in Africa

For several years now, ISPAD has been one of the partners in the training of endocrine and diabetes fellows in Nairobi and Lagos in Africa. For these courses ISPAD and ESPE (European Society for Pediatric Endocrinology) tutors alternate with national colleagues. These courses are very valuable and allow time for teaching, leisure as well as learning on both sides. Tutors stay for around 2 weeks and economy travel, visa costs, vaccinations as well as housing are covered by an educational grant from the World Diabetes Foundation.

As you can see tutoring is hard work, but also much fun and we are currently looking for tutors for:

Nairobi - March 2014 (exams in Nairobi) and November 2014
Lagos - February 2014, April 2014, February 2015, July 2015 and September 2015

If you’re interested, please send an email to:

Nairobi - Ragnar Hanas
Lagos - Carine de Beaufort

Tutors should be ISPAD members, having attended at least one ISPAD Annual Conference.
