Dear Members,
Dear Friends,

While the advent of technologies to assist with diabetes management can be traced back to the development of continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion pump therapy and home glucometers, with the development of more sophisticated devices, like continuous glucose monitors (CGM) and automated insulin delivery systems, integration of technology into clinical care has grown exponentially. Furthermore, use of these technologies may provide a more in depth understanding of in how to achieve targeted control as compared to a singular hemoglobin A1c measurement. Thus, this new chapter of the ISPAD Consensus Guidelines, seeks to highlight Diabetes Technologies, an area of diabetes care that is rapidly evolving, by reviewing the evidence for their use and providing a practical approach on how to integrate these therapies into clinical care.

Check the most up-to-date Clinical Consensus Guidelines launched in November 2018 on the use of technology in diabetes and see in our Online Resource Platform the latest highlighted chapters on the use of Diabetes Technology to increase Time-in-Range (#ispad2018) and reduce hypoglycemia (#ispad2015).
