ISPAD Membership New Fee Structure

ISPAD New Fee Structure (from July 1, 2020)

We are pleased to introduce two new ways we are responding to our members’ needs
.

1 - A revision of the Annual Fee

Our fee structure has been thoroughly revised in order to make ISPAD Membership more accessible for those who do not come from High Income Countries (as per World Bank classification) and thus, encourage a broader and more representative membership.

2 - A Team Membership Fee

Being sensitive to the current environment and following members feedback, we are proud to introduce a Team Membership fee. Hospitals and institutes can now purchase a team membership for their diabetes team. Up to 5 team members can be signed up in the same team.

Transition Process

This new fee structure will be effective on July 1, 2020. Existing members will be able to renew their membership with the new fee when their membership expires.

*Eligibility

For all these categories, documentation must be submitted during the application process. Please have the following documents ready, according to the membership fee chosen:

  • Students, fellows & trainees must upload a proof of full-time enrollment at a recognized university or college. This can be provided in the form of a letter from a Head of Department or a Student Card, as long as these clearly indicate dates of enrollment/fellowship. Students, fellows & trainees can't apply for the team membership fee.

  • Nurses, educators, dietitians and other healthcare professionals must upload a supporting letter from their Head of Department confirming their professional status. Alternatively, a copy of registration or practicing certificate or an ID Card from your institution can be submitted, if the profession is stipulated on it.

  • Applicants for Low Income, Lower-Middle Income and Upper-Middle Income Countries fees must submit a Proof of Residency. This can be a recent utilities bill or other formal document that clearly indicates the country of residence.

  • One team membership includes 5 team members:
    - One account owner that is a Physician
    - Up to four members that could be Physicians, Psychologists, Nurses, Dietitians or Other Healthcare Professionals

    - Low Income Country category is waived
    - Current memberships will have to expire before being able to book a team membership fee
    - One Team = One Fee

Former full members who are retired are not required to pay a membership fee (unless they voluntarily wish to pay a membership fee in order to support ISPAD). A free membership is available for retired members upon request.
