As you know, ISPAD released new clinical practice consensus guidelines in 2018! They are accessible anytime here. Want to know what’s new in them? Have a look at the video lecture of Ethel Codner!
 
From now on and during the entire year 2019, we will facilitate your guidance through the guidelines by focusing every two weeks on a special chapter. And to improve viewing comfort, we have removed the login feature: You can now access our platform without prior registration! Our focus this week:
 
Do you know what the most relevant recommendations for Type 1 diabetes management and targets are? Do you feel that we should pay more attention to time-in-range? Because the more intensive the treatment, the better, and because diabetes technology helps to manage diabetes more intensively:

We should aim for A1C <7% (53 mmol/mol) instead of 7.5% (58.5 mmol/mol)
We should pay more attention to time-in-range, rather than A1C only.
