Call for Nominations: ISPAD Elections 2026 are now open

We are pleased to announce that nominations for the ISPAD Elections 2026 are officially open!

The following positions will be available and voted on electronically ahead of our General Assembly, taking place in November 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:

  • ISPAD Treasurer-elect (2026–2027)
  • ISPAD Advisory Council (2026–2029) – 6 Members
    • 4 Physicians
    • 2 Healthcare Professionals

At ISPAD, we are proud of our diverse, inclusive leadership and are committed to representing a broad range of voices, experiences, and perspectives. Whether you bring years of experience or a fresh, forward-thinking approach, we welcome your nomination and look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you in advancing care for children, adolescents, and young adults living with diabetes.

How to nominate?

To submit your nomination:

1) Complete the election form and send it to the ISPAD Secretariat at [email protected]

2) Submit a short video (approximately 1 minute) via WeTransfer to [email protected] — introduce yourself and share your goals if elected. The video will be uploaded to ISPAD's YouTube channel for members to view before voting.

Please ensure both your form and video are submitted by the deadline (July 10,2026).

How to Cast Your Vote?

Once candidates are nominated, every eligible member for the ISPAD Elections will receive a personalized email containing a link to the voting platform. Voting will open on August 5, 2026, and close on November 4, 2026, at 18:00 BRT. Please note that your membership must be valid until the last day of the election to vote.
