Welcome to the Nutrition interest group of ISPAD. This group is open to all members working in pediatric diabetes with an interest in nutrition.

This group brings together professionals with a shared interest in nutrition to collaborate, share insights, and promote optimal dietary practices for young people with diabetes. It aims to provide a place for nutrition-specific networking, a forum for discussion, and a portal to share resources and ideas.

Joining the Nutrition SIG offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your professional skills, contribute to meaningful research, and be part of a supportive and dynamic community dedicated to improving nutritional management in pediatric and adolescent diabetes.

Activities

  1. Research Initiatives: Engage in research projects focused on the nutritional needs and management of children and adolescents with diabetes.

  3. Best Practices Promotion: Identify and promote best practices in nutritional management to ensure high standards of care.

Expectations for members

  1. Active Participation: Engage in regular meetings, discussions, and activities organized by the Nutrition Group.
  2. Research Involvement: Contribute to research projects by submitting proposals, participating in surveys, and collaborating with other members.
  3. Content Creation: Assist in creating and sharing content for social media, newsletters, and other communication channels.
  4. Advocacy and Outreach: Support advocacy initiatives aimed at improving nutritional care for young people with diabetes.
