Voting Guidelines - 2026
A electronic voting will take place during the 2026 Annual General meeting. Please follow the instructions below carefully to ensure a smooth and valid electronic voting process.
- Renew your membership by Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 23:59 BRT to be eligible. Only active ISPAD members are eligible to vote.
- Register on time. To keep things fair for all members and the meeting on track, ISPAD isn't able to accommodate late requests, meaning after Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 23:59 BRT.
- After the item 4 in the Agenda, the voting link will be automatically sent to the email address connected to your ISPAD profile. Votes will be verified against this email address, so please ensure you have access to it during the meeting. For example, if your membership is registered under your professional email address, the voting link will be sent there.
- Voting is open for 30 minutes. After this time, the voting session will close automatically, and no further votes can be submitted.
- Make sure your device is fully charged and your inbox is accessible during the meeting.
This voting will cover three key organizational matters:
-
Patient Advocates' voting rights in Articles of Association
Under the ISPAD Articles of Association in UK, Patient Advocates were Full Members and therefore held voting rights. During the transition to the Austrian legal structure, they were placed in the Advocate Member category, which does not carry voting rights. As no decision was taken by the membership to remove those rights, the proposed amendment restores the previous position. Any future review of membership categories and associated voting rights should be considered separately as part of ISPAD's broader governance review.
-
Dissolution of ISPAD in Norway
In 2000 new ISPAD underwent governance changes. At the time Knut Dahl-Jørgensen was the Secretary General. The regulatory requirements of new societal by-laws meant that ISPAD needed formal registration. This occurred in Knut’s country, Norway. Despite moving our legal home to the UK in 2005, ISPAD continued to be registered with The Norwegian Entity Registry at Brønnøysund (entity number: 982141311). We now need to formally dissolve this registration. This process requires a vote at the AGM by the ISPAD membership and a subsequent letter to the registry from the Executive Board.

ISPAD Treasurer's Report
Please note that only ISPAD members are eligible to receive the voting link. Please ensure your membership is renewed before Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 23:59 BRT. This requirement is in place to ensure the highest level of integrity and verification before the voting process begins.
Following these steps will help ensure a fair and efficient voting process for all members.
